Disaster Recovery

Syntax ITS can provide a Disaster Recovery plan for your business.  Using comprehensive backups and disk imaging solutions.

Disk Imaging can be used to create an exact disk image of your hard drive.  These are very useful if you have a major server crash or hard disk failure.  The system can be put back exactly using the restored image.

Incremental: The disk imaging also works incrementally allowing you to only backup the changes.  You can then build up a library of disk images for use in recovery.

The disk imaging file integrates into the windows recovery console and can be used by booting from a windows CD.

Restored bare metal disk Images can also be used as a virtual machine, and boot up in VMWare or Virtual PC environment.  In most cases this can be done in a few minutes, keeping server downtime to a minimum.

Requirements: Windows SBS 2008, Windows Server 2008 & R2 (Enterprise, Standard, Datacenter editions), Windows Vista (Business, Enterprise, Ultimate editions), Windows 7 (Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate editions).
